The reviewed monograph contains an analysis of new trends emerging in the world economy. Attention is focused on the development of crisis processes in the modern model of globalization. We are talking about the attempts of the current administration of D. Trump to change the existing rules and reformat the current world economic order taking into account the unilateral interests of Washington. The article substantiates the position that D. Trump's policy generates new challenges and poses additional problems to the world economic community. A complex knot of contradictions is singled out, the aggravation of which is fraught with unleashing trade wars between the main players in the world economic arena.
