Abstract

The article deals with Russia's relations with Latin American countries against the background of the West's introduction of anti-Russian sanctions. Some prerequisites for increasing risks for Russian business in Latin America and possible measures to reduce the negative impact of sanctions on the economic position of Russia in the region are considered. The attention is focused on the analysis of forms and directions for the improvement of the financial component of the Russian-Latin American business cooperation. The article substantiates the position that, despite the difficult situation in the world market, there are a number of global and regional long-term factors contributing to the progressive promotion of the Russian-Latin American dialogue on the development of mutual economic relations.
