- Abstract
- The article examines the crucial role of the Soviet Union and its armed forces in the final stages of World War II, reveals the motives of US foreign policy and its “chief architect” President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who laid the foundations of the postwar American dominance in the world. The author introduces the idea that there was a real chance of cooperation between the USSR and the USA on the post-war period, which have not been implemented because of the beginning “cold war.”
