Abstract
The remarkable growth of China's economic power and geopolitical influence observed in recent years is rightly attracting more and more attention from experts and the world community. The profound progressive changes that Russia's great Far Eastern neighbor has been living with for almost three decades now raise legitimate questions about the nature and price of its achievements, further development paths, and prospects for Russian-Chinese relations. The answers to these questions have not only cognitive, scientific, but also direct practical significance for Russia's international interests.
