Abstract
The main theoretical approaches developed within the framework of critical theory are considered as directions of Western sociology of law; the features of the socio-legal concepts of Y. Habermas, M. Foucault, P. Bourdieu are noted; it is emphasized that the tradition of critical sociology of law was developed in the "concept of the legal field" of P. Bourdieu; the influence of an interdisciplinary approach to the analysis of legal institutions on modern sociology of law is characterized.
