Abstract
For a long time the Socotran society has been living in social and cultural isolation, maintaining inviolable traditions of their ancestors and habitual way of life, experiencing large- scale shifts in social, economic, cultural and religious spheres. Civilization «jump» experienced by Socotrans has very ambiguous impact on the lives of this peculiar people.
