Abstract
The paper deals with chronology and ethnocultural attribution of ornaments in Eastern European style with champlevé enamels on the steppes of Eastern Europe and in the Crimea. The relevant 25 items recovered from 17 sites are mostly ornaments, save two spurs. Articles with enamels were used by the Sarmatians, the late Scyths, the population of classical cities, various barbarian communities of the Crimea, i.e. almost all main groups of the population of the south of Eastern Europe. However, artefacts with enamels are always scarce. They had been for a long time imported to the steppes and the Crimea mainly from the Dnieper area with the nomadic Sarmatians acting as intermediaries.
