Abstract
This is an overview of two recently published books by well-known American experts in international relations and political economy - Michael Mandelbaum and David Calleo. The papers though differing in style and subject cover similar issues of Washington's foreign policy constraints due to economic factors and irrelevance of American unipolar world view.
