- Abstract
- The article considers the costume description as a tool of shaping public opinion about statesmen by mass media. Spanish and Latin-American newspapers use vestimentary sign verbalizing such concepts as Fashion, Protocol, Public intimacy in a special way that fills the clothes with a significance according to the editors’ intention. The study sets out to find out and explain the connotative meanings of vestimentary signs which should be taken into consideration while preparation of translators and international specialists.
